We are all organised for our event at Crooklog, Bexleyheath on Sunday (15th June). As usual we are going to have some fantastic trophies, sashes, and great prizes from our sponsor, Exquisite Designs. While it won't be quite as busy as our last Bexleyheath competition, there are 22 different schools attending so it promises to be a great event! We look forward to seeing you all there, and wish you good luck and good dancing on the day! 8th June 2008

The ADFP Southern Area held their Annual General Meeting yesterday and Justine was nominated Southern Area Promoter of the year! A big thank you to all those professionals who voted and to all those teachers, parents, and kids who have attended one of our competitions this year! We are currently working hard to make the rest of this year and next even better and have got some exciting plans! If you have any ideas or suggestions about how we can make our competitions better please let us know, either by email, or on our discussion forum. We'd definitely love to hear them!

Yesterday's comp was sponsored by Foxy Dancewear. As well as Foxy goodie bags, sashes and a flower for all the Solo winners, the hunt was on for the Feva Face of Foxy. The two winners, Alana Snow from All Stars and Savannah Jacks from Solitaire will be appearing on the June cover of Feva Magazine and got some great Foxy Practice wear to keep. Toni from Foxy Dancewear and Tamara from Feva Magazine also picked two runners up - Demi-Mae Cumbes from VIP and Lizzy Brown from Stages - who will be appearing in the magazine and got a Foxy sweatshirt. Congratulations to all four of them - Can't wait to see the June issue of Feva!

Well, Worthing turned out to be a very busy comp, with our highest number of Solo competitors yet (492!). Fantastic panel of Judges including Paul Critchley and Jamie Anderson from the Wirral, Lynne Silmon from Newcastle, Lori Silmon from London, and Moya Jordan from Southampton. Hope everyone had a great day. If there are things you think we could do better please let us know. There will be updates on the comp, as well as a full results service tomorrow.

We have added a limited number of advertisements (on the left hand side of each page). There are definitely no pop-ups (which I find annoying). The ads should be relevant to the dance world, but we would definitely like to hear your comments. Whether you like them, actively dislike them, or don't care either way! We've ordered some very cute Teddy Bears with JustDance T-Shirts on. One is bound to end up in the goodie bag (along with a water bottle, pen, flumps, and a few other bits and pieces) so if you haven't entered our competition yet, you have until the end of April to get your entry in!

There has been a very minor alteration to the programmes for April, May and September, we've added Under 8 Beginner Pairs and removed Over 16 Beginner pairs. Actually was always meant to be that way, but our Chief Graphic Designer (i.e. me!) got it wrong. Updated programmes for all events are available on our Calendar page.

We've just taken delivery of two large vertical banners to add a bit of visual impact to our competition days. Think they look stunning and I'm looking forward to their first outing at the April comp! (OK so I probably need to get out more!)

The JustDance Discussion Forum is now available! It is early days, so we are definitely looking for suggestions for New Forums. Just click on the Forum link to access the board, and register to get the full features. 7th Mar 2008

Happy Mother's Day to all you competition Mums! Now, how many of you had a long lie in, breakfast in bed, flowers and chocolates? And how many were up at the crack of dawn to drive to a dance comp?!

Had quite a few entries for the competition - even Justine had a go (although her entry doesn't count!) - but keep them coming!

Jo and Justine had a routine inspection of our Kent venue. Stunning new leisure centre - hopefully one of our best comps yet - and it has high standards to meet!

This is not exactly Dance news (well apart from the fact that the person holding the pup is an Over 16 Premier Champ!), but we couldn't resist - Justine has a new Cocker Spaniel puppy!

We have been busy in the background investigating the best way for us to go in running Street Dance competitions. We're pleased to say that we have concluded all that and our first event will be run at K2, Crawley in West Sussex on the 24th May 2009. This will be a qualifier for the UDO Worlds 2009 to be held in Blackpool. You can get a programme from our Calendar section, or from our embryonic Street section on this site. If you wish to get details of this, or what promises to be a busy schedule of events coming up, drop us a line at street@justdancepromotions.co.uk.

Due to a combination of circumstances, this Sunday's Freestyle event will be the last one we will be running with Jo at Bexleyheath. Fortunately Jo Regan will be continuing to run events at this great venue, and we wish Jo the very best in branching out on her own. We are however very likely to be running Street events there so watch this space!

We have just about digested the West Sussex County Championships which had an incredible 569 solo competitors, and we are already looking at how it can be improved for next year. The results and photos have started to be posted here, so keep an eye out over the next few days.

All refreshed after the summer break, we are now putting the finishing touches to the West Sussex County Championships in less than 2 weeks time! We've pushed the boat out with the trophies and have fantastic prizes from our sponsors! Once again we are very close to (our newly expanded) capacity, and expect to be fully sold out again. So far the following schools have ordered tickets:

We are also going to be giving a prize to the tidiest school at the end of the event!

Well, the April comp has now finished! It was a mad busy, but enjoyable comp (if you went, we would love to hear your views - things that went well, things we could do better - email me at info@justdancepromotions.co.uk). Record number of competitors and a great standard! The JustDance staff are now working through the night to update the results. Photo updates will run into Monday, but I hope you enjoy our results service!

With the April competition selling out a month in advance (with a waiting list of people who couldn't get tickets) , it looks like the May competition is going to follow suit! In fact it is not far off already. If your school hasn't ordered tickets yet, I would get in quickly!

Had a great write-up in Feva of our January Comp - lots of pics!

At our January event in Worthing, we awarded our Beginner of the Year for 2008. As well as the trophy and sash, Emily received a bouquet of flowers, an engraved crystal vase, and a voucher for a new Starter Costume to the value of £350 from our sponsor Goldstar! While this was her first event, we understand that she has already lost her second life, so it won't be long before Emily needs that costume!
